Đại từ sở hữu và tính từ sở hữu 

Cách dùng:  

• Tính từ sở hữu: Đứng trước danh từ để chỉ sự sở hữu.

• Đại từ sở hữu: Thay thế danh từ để tránh lặp từ. 

Ví dụ:  

• My house is big. (Nhà của tôi thì lớn.)

• That big house is mine. (Cái nhà to đằng kia là của tôi.) 

Lưu ý: Không dùng the trước tính từ sở hữu (the my book: sai; my book: đúng).

Liên từ and và or

Cách dùng:

• And được dùng để nối các ý bổ sung.

• Or được dùng để đưa ra lựa chọn giữa hai hoặc nhiều phương án.

Ví dụ:

• I like Math and English. (Tớ thích môn toán và tiếng Anh.)

• Do you prefer History or Literature? (Cậu thích môn lịch sử hay văn hơn?) 

Câu hỏi Wh- (What, Where, Who, How)  

Cách dùng Wh-question word: 

• What: Hỏi về sự vật, sự việc. Ví dụ: What’s your name? (Tên bạn là gì?) 

• Where: Hỏi về nơi chốn. Ví dụ: Where do you live? (Bạn sống ở đâu?)

• Who: Hỏi về người. Ví dụ: Who is your teacher? (Ai là giáo viên của bạn?)  

• How: Hỏi về cách thức, tình trạng. Ví dụ: How is your mother? (Mẹ bạn sao rồi?) 

Tương lai gần (Be going to)

Cách dùng: Nói về kế hoạch hoặc ý định trong tương lai gần.

Cấu trúc:

Ví dụ:

• We are going to visit our cousins this weekend. (Chúng tôi sẽ đến thăm anh em họ cuối tuần này.)

• She’s going to play badminton after school. (Cô ấy sẽ chơi cầu lông sau giờ học.) 

Cấu trúc like + V-ing

Cách dùng: Nói về sở thích hoặc điều bạn thấy hứng thú.

Nguyen Hue was a great Vietnamese hero. He was born in 1753 in Binh Dinh. The brothers – Nguyen Nhac, Nguyen Lu and Nguyen Hue, led the Tay Son army and won many battles. In 1785, Nguyen Hue and his Tay Son soldiers won the Battle of Rach Gam – Xoai Mut and defeated the Thai army. From 1786 to 1788, he led his army to the north of Vietnam and defeated the Trinh Lord. In 1788, Nguyen Hue became the King of Vietnam. He then took the name of Quang Trung. During the Lunar New Year of 1789, King Quang Trung won the Battle of Ngoc Hoi –Dong Da. The Chinese generals and their army ran back to their country. King Quang Trung was one of the greatest leaders in Vietnamese history. He died in 1792.
